"Adam Fisher, who dazzles as Pedrillo, is one of those rare young performers who can sing like Josh Groban, look like Ryan Reynolds and clown like Martin Short. That’s my idea of a triple threat."
Richard Ouzounian, Toronto Star
"Adam Fisher is a muscular Pedrillo, vocally buff and polished....voicing warm, near baritone colours at times, the young Vancouver -born singer conveys great charm. Pedrillo's little Act III serenade sung beneath his sweetheart's window is simply gorgeous, tender, melodic and all-too fleeting."
Opera Going Toronto
Vancouver tenor Adam Fisher begins his busy 2013 season as Pedrillo in Opera Atelier’s acclaimed production of Mozart’s Abduction from the Seraglio.
A graduate of the University of British Columbia, Adam joined the Emerging Artists Program with Calgary Opera in 2010, singing the roles of Ferrando in Cosi fan Tutte, Wilhelm in The Brothers Grimm (Burry) and several roles in the world premiere of Bramwell Tovey’s The Inventor.
Adam’s professional singing career began with Vancouver Opera's school tours as Al in Barber of Barkerville and Jackson in Jack Pine, performing over 180 shows throughout British Columbia. In 2012, Adam was invited to the prestigious Music Academy of the West by celebrated mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne, leading the cast as Tom Rakewell in Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress.
Adam returned to Calgary as Tamino in Cowtown Opera’s fresh version of Mozart’s The Magic Flute and joined this innovative company as Alfred in their 2012 production of Die Fledermaus.
Mr. Fisher recently starred in “Best of Broadway”, a concert of favourite Rodgers and Hammerstein songs with Chorus Niagara and was a guest artist with Vancouver’s popular “Music in the Morning” for “I Got Rhythm: The Songs of George Gershwin”.
In Toronto, Adam sang Nicias in Voicebox/Opera in Concert’s performance of Massenet’s Thaïs and charmed audiences as Raoul in La Vie Parisienne with Toronto Operetta Theatre.
Debuts in the 2013/14 season for this charismatic young tenor Include Britten’s haunting Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings with Ottawa’s Thirteen Strings Chamber Orchestra, Lieutenant Cable in South Pacific with Pacific Opera Victoria, and Alfred in Edmonton Opera’s delightful Die Fledermaus.
